Some people are colorblind. Therefore they cant discern team colors. Newer Blizzard games have a way for colorbling people to play the game too:

The percent of colorblind people is relatively large:

Re: Color Blind Mode
In Wyrmsun, all the Germans look the same so people who are colour blind are on an equal footing.
Re: Color Blind Mode
Yeah. Wyrmsun's units are little bland and tiny. Likely due to the absence of much art direction.Yukiko wrote:In Wyrmsun, all the Germans look the same so people who are colour blind are on an equal footing.
I.e. compare Warcraft 2 gryphon rider with Blizzard's one. Blizzard's gryphon has large well-placed chunks for player color areas, so recolored unit looks crisp and vivid, while Wyrmsun's gryphon has the most boring shades of gray for the body. The anatomy (say wings) poses some questions too. Although the pixel art quality is mostly nice. The unit portraits, on the other hand, are great, some being on par with Blizzard's art quality. Whoever done them, should consider starting his own art classes or gamedev company.

Re: Color Blind Mode
My username means "color blind" actually haha. I don't feel in any particular disadvantage but my case is milder than others.
