hi! here i bring to you my demo version of windgus, it just have 3 stages and nothing more, hope you like it and have fun! ;)

Nice. Going to test it asap.

EDIT: just played the first mission. Its very nice. I like that you dont have to upgrade every unit anymore. I noticed that mouse scrolling in the bottom left corner didnt work and that there is no option menu ingame. I forgot the mission objectives and had no clue where i can check them ingame.

about the bottom left corner, i forgot to fix that, it doesn't work because there is a button there, the red circle is in fact the menu button, to have acces to the menu from the ingame you can also press f-10 ;)

No multiplayer makes me sad.

=/ yeah, well eventually i would finish completely the game, and the 4 races and the 4 campaigns would be available, i would add every option displayed in the demo and then i would fix the multiplayer part, the only thing that i don't know if i'll be add is the editor. the tiles in wargus are 32x32 pixels and for that reason is easy to use the ingame editor. but here, windgus works with 24x24 pixels. I made the maps in other platform (Tiled) with 48x48 (like the original war wind) and then i made a few scripts in Matlab to turn one 48x48 tile in four 24x24, to allow me put the units on it.

It almost sounds like you're using something like tile patches in a round about way. I have some 64*64 tiles that I'd like to do something with like that. You could adjust your script to convert 64*64 tiles into 32*32? Did you have any issues using 'Tiled' for the maps other than the tile size?

of course, one can easily turn one 64x64 in four 32x32 the big thing with using Tiled is that you can actually uses patches and tileset (patches like bos wars and tilesets like wargus), for example in windgus i use 48x48 tilesets (swamp, water, dirt, etc) and single patches (horizontal and vertical bridges, ramps to pass from swamp to high swamp)). once the map is made you transform everything to the definitive dimensions. in my maps i use 3 script (one to pass from 48x48 to 24x24, another to transform the map from tiled format to stratagus format and a third script to transform the units from tiled to stratagus)
