Re: Bos Wars 2.7 is released!
I tried to make the instructions as clear as possible, I didn't upload the whole shebang because it was too large. I just don't get why whoever runs the Bos Wars website hasn't made a windows version more easily available.
Re: Bos Wars 2.7 is released!
We could release our own version of Bos Wars for Windows, although the binary you provided doesn't have the MSVC dlls imbedded.
04:27 jim4 why haven't you added wc1 support? this project sucks. i'm only going to use freecraft

There's always been a strong undercurrent of Windows hate within the Stratagus Dev community.

Re: Bos Wars 2.7 is released!
Just to clarify, is BOS Wars 2.7 now able to be run on everyone's windows computers? If it isn't I would be glad to help correct that.

Could you compile a release binary? Right now it requires debug libraries.Smeet_the_Second wrote:Just to clarify, is BOS Wars 2.7 now able to be run on everyone's windows computers? If it isn't I would be glad to help correct that.

I am so sorry to make you dizzy guys, but I don't even know how to install bos wars 2.7 on a Linux dual boot PC.
I just use the software center, and it is outdated

Re: Bos Wars 2.7 is released!
Ok, I'm sorry that I have been a bit spotty with this. I don't know if I will ever be super reliable, but what if the debug dlls were to be included in the links? Would that be permissible, in my mind this would work fine. But I could be missing a vital piece of information about the subject. Someone else in the forum mentioned that they could be easily found by Googling, but no one posted a download link. I'm in no position to criticize this, it simply makes me wonder if there is an issue with this solution.
