New Campaign

Well.

I really like Bos Wars, and I was rather disappointed at the lack of an actual campaign (probably because very few people play Bos Wars anyway), so I made one for myself. It consists of 20 missions with almost as many maps and largely varying gameplay and objectives, and a rather text heavy story to go along with it. Low resolution screens won't be able to fit all the text, so I included it in a readme file.

Everything should be in working order; if there's any problems, such as maps not loading or the end text not displaying or whatever, let me know.

(Edit: The campaign is designed for the 2.6.1 release and may or may not work on later versions. Some fiddling may be required to get it to work on the development version, and in all honesty I wouldn't actually know what to do in that regard.)

Ah, lovely! When I get some free time I'll put some videos up of this.

@Lmoy: Not to sound gay, but: I love you!

I've always thought BOSwars needed a great campaign!

Well, be sure to let me know what you think of it!
And any improvements that could be made, etc.

My campaign is designed for the 2.6.1 release. I apologise, I should have clarified that. I honestly have no idea how I could make it run on the development version (I made it myself simply through trial-and-error and studying the scripts for the older elites campaign and the swindler campaign, and thus know very little of the game's scripting beyond what I learned from that).

Islands works just perfectly off a clean install of 2.6.1, so my suggestion is to simply download and install it and play the campaign through there.

Hi Lmoy,
I converted the campaign to the latest version of boswars - this now runs on the development version.
Please allow me to commit the changes - your work will then be included in the next release of boswars.

Is that OK?
Anything you want to add?

We would like to include your real full name in the change history. If you wish, please tell me your full name!

Regards,
Michiel van der Wulp

I asked feb to release asap, a couple of weeks ago, since all conditions to release are now fulfilled AFAIK.
He agreed to do it, but did not find enough free time yet.
