Thx i tested the new version and the building selection is a nice addition. I wasnt able to change the resolution though.
What happens when you try to select a new resolution, and which resolution were you trying to change to?
How can i playtest the new units?
You can create a new map or modify an existing one to give yourself the new units, or you can try to get the "The Surghan Mercenaries" event, which gives you a bunch of axefighters, steelclads and scouts in exchange for gold. To trigger the event, you need to have at least 4800 gold, have a mead hall and a barracks, and have killed 10 units. This event happens only once per game, so if a computer player fulfills the conditions before you do, you won't be able to get the event until you start a new scenario.
EDIT: There is still a problem with the building selection. After building units from the selected building the units get selected aswell and i cant use the hotkey for macro purposes anymore. Also there is a problem with the unit building queue. You cant see if there are more than 6 units in the queue (more than 6 just dont show).
The building selection problem is unfortunate; I don't think there is much I can do without modifying the engine itself. As for the unit building queue issue, you are correct... it would be better if a number appeared showing how many units beyond 6 you are training (a "+X"). I'll look into that to see if it's possible to do something about it by changing the ui lua files.
PS: moddb is good for advertising and showcasing your stuff. You can also upload the releases there.
This sounds interesting, but maintaining a page there might be a bit time-consuming. Also, perhaps it would be better to have the game at a later stage of development before advertising there.
