I like the design of the scout. When i tested the new version i noticed that the Scout has a huge delay after his attack animation which makes micro impossible. Is that intended to prevent kiting or move and shoot micro?

The purpose of the delay is to prevent the scout from attacking too fast, which would be problematic because the scout deals a very significant amount of damage. If moving made the scout's attack delay be reset, then the player could simply order him to move and stop and shoot much faster than otherwise.

The delay in the end of the attack animation accounts for about two-thirds of the total delay of the scout's attack animation. As such, one possibility is to eliminate the delay, but make the damage of the scout become a third of what it is now, so that in general the unit remains having about the same power level.

I personally like units being more microable but i dont want to interfere with your gamedesign.

You are not interfering, on the contrary, I appreciate your suggestions very much.

I could potentially add more animation to the end of the attack so that it doesn't give the appearance of a pointless delay. He could pull an axe out of his backpack or something. I'm thinking about having the goblin pull arrows out of the quiver:

The speed of the reload animation might be adjusted to accommodate the desired delay required for game balance. But updating the scouts attack animation is low priority right now.

thanks, but I should have made the quiver face the other direction.
