Well i try to finish it but if its not good enough to be implemented thats ok :p
I guess i will make the armor a little bit darker and the sword a little bit longer and wider.

I think the reworked wesnoth swordsman looks nice but he is a little bit small compared to the dwarven units.

BTW if you use wesnoth as a template why not rework the wesnoth ground tiles aswell?

I wouldn't say it's 'practical' to change the angle on units. It could be about as much work as making something new. Although portions could be reused, most of those portions would need to be modified, and other portions would need to be drawn new. But the appearance, and color scheme would already be given some boundaries. Try it out and see how it works.

I think the wesnoth terrain tiles are a different shape if not a different size, so getting the seams to work could be an issue.

In my oppinion you should not copy Wesnoth stuff 1:1. Getting inspiration is fine i guess. I love the style of Bo and Jin and they should continue.

Yes, I agree :)

But since it is now possible to load mods from the main menu, it is not hard for anyone to create a mod including new units with the style of their choice.

Added a sword now and added teamcolor to the shoulderpads. Added a second darker version, which one do you prefer? And suggestions?
The shoulderpad highlights are too bright?

UPDATE: I guess i need some help with the animations... here is what i have done so far for the first attack frame

Decide on the type of sword attack (chop, thrust, etc.) Then find a similar sprite or video and act it out yourself, and try to match the body movement. Don't forget to pay attention to the positions and movement of the head, and upper body, but there might be movement in the knees or elsewhere as well.

Attack Frame 1, 2, 3 and the Stand ground image: I guess i still have to work on the overall body movement.

The new animations look good to me. I tested putting the base frame into Wyrmsun, and here's how it looks in-game:

I suggest eliminating those white pixels in the shoulders (possibly replacing them with the brightest tone of team-color) and perhaps doing the same to the white pixel in the shield. Eliminating the white pixels in the armor itself might also be a good idea, to make the amount of contrast be more in line with the rest of Wyrmsun graphics. The sword I think is a bit too dark.

I replaced the white pixels in the shoulder and shields with the brightest team-color color, and replaced the white pixels in the armor with the brightest armor color, and this was the result:

And in-game:

You are right. The new version looks better and the sword is too dark ingame. What about the scale? Is the Swordman too big?
