That's pretty cool, man! Thanks for the videos!

About upgrading the dwarven axefighters, it is possible, but only after the a quest is completed - with each quest, you gain more "technology points" to spend on the dwarven technology tree (where you can get a smith, a lumber mill, a sentry tower, a guard tower, a ranged axe thrower, a ballista, as well as melee weapon, shield, throwing weapon and ballista upgrades).

The things walking around your base were slimes - they aren't dangerous, just critters. The flying thing you saw was a goblin glider, which they use to scout (since the AI doesn't seem to take into account whether an area is explored or not, they don't have much in the way of real effect yet though).

The exclamation points which appeared on the dwarven axefighters mean that they have leveled-up and can upgrade to a stronger unit type (I'm going to include a message notification for that in the next version, to make it clearer to the player that the unit has leveled up).

There's also the cheat code to bypass the technology points system to make all of the upgrades available for purchase.
The potions, cheese, and carrots can be used by placing injured units on them.
Clicking the exclamation points on the leveled up units gives that unit more buttons for unit specific upgrades.
Perhaps the hints messages which display at the beginning should be updated to include that kind of information.

I'm making a FtM only fork of Wyrmsun. The campaign will be a simple tournament where you default AIs to move up the ladder. You'll also be able to select which ally AIs you want on your team.
