I could Photoshop some new buttons for you man...tell me what you'd like and I'll piece something together...you know, textures, shading of the buttons.

Mm, I'm going for a mythical vampires and werewolves theme, you know, to expend Stratagus' demographic to include teenage girls. Spooky Transylvania styled castles and all that.

I'm going to clash that with some kind of Secret Order and Paladins(tm).

ahh... maybe the colors might work for that effect, but at least change the font or something... and texture and shading is a good idea too dinky.

I do some colour research and see what colours tie in together nicely. Red on Blue is pretty bold. Changing the font will be fun :P will have to create brand new font sheets for the engine to read off, but it can be done.

If you want to check out some fonts on the net then send me the links I can transpose them into font sheets using PS...

But anyways, I hope I can do this for you man, this game is really starting to get some go-on.

Stratagus fonts are painful. Very very painful.

Couldn't you just bypass the font system and make the buttons part of the background graphic and then display invisible buttons on top of it to get the clickable coordinates in place?

You could do that, and that would work easily. I think Kyran wants a new font anyway, but you do the whole "clear button" thing for all the buttons and just paste the font onto the actual button graphic...hmmm. that could work...

...think you might be onto something there b_o
